Inexpensive Home Decor

Inexpensive home decor is really all about being creative and thinking outside the box. This of course is easier for some people than others. Here are some ideas to get you started on inexpensive home decor.

Every home needs art to give it a more personal feel but art can be expensive, especially original pieces of art. As an alternative try framing your own pieces with these suggestions.

  • In the kitchen, herb and plant pictures are a great fit. Create your own by framing a couple favorite green leaves or pressed flowers from your garden. It might surprise you how create they look behind framed glass. And you can easily change them with the seasons.
  • Take your own photographs to frame. Digital cameras and photo software are so advanced now that you really don’t need to be a professional photographer to create great photos. Maybe you even already have some create photos from a trip showcasing the city’s architecture or parks.
  • Use shadow boxes to frame family mementos. Old baby booties or clothing behind glass would look great in a baby room. Look at what mementos you’ve got gathering dust that would look great hanging on a wall.

These are just some ideas to get you started decorating. Don’t be afraid to create your own inexpensive home decor with things you’ve boxed away.
